In the Contact tab, you assign general access rights for contacts.

Read access to contacts

If this option is enabled , the users are allowed to see all contacts in the corresponding menu.

If the option is disabled, the Contacts menu will be hidden for these users.

If contact fields are used in workflow forms, users will have read access to contacts when applying the workflow, even if this permission is disabled.

Write access to contacts

If this option is enabled , the users are allowed to see and edit all contacts in the corresponding menu.

Configuration

If this option is enabled , the users may:

  • Add additional contact types in the settings under Contacts - Contact Type field. This allows to classify contacts into customers, suppliers, authorities and any other contact types.
  • Create, edit, sort and delete user-defined fields in the details of a contact.
This permission can be executed only by users with a Designer license.
