  1. Navigation area

In the navigation area you will find:

  • Quick access to the processes that you have marked as favorites
  • The personalized list My processes
  • Quick access to evaluations and saved reports that relate to processes in the Lists and Reports folder
  • The Recycle bin to which deleted process groups & processes are moved
  • The Process Explorer.
The Process Explorer lists all process groups and processes of your system. Here you can:

- Open existing processes
- Create new processes
- Edit processes in the content area
- Copy or link processes
- Export and import processes
  1. Content area

The content that you have selected in the navigation area is displayed here.

For example, if you click on the process group "ISO 9001:2015 - Sample processes" in the navigation area, the process model of this group opens in the content area.

  1. Navigation bar

The navigation bar contains:

  • Refresh button to reload the contents of the Process menu
  • The possibility to navigate through process groups
  • The quick search to browse all process groups and processes
  • Quick access for editing the catalogues Terms and abbreviations as well as standards and requirements

Recycle bin

The "Recycle Bin" is also available with the same functions in the Documents menu.

If you delete process groups, processes or tasks at any reused location, they will be moved to the recycle bin. There you can see which user deleted the object and at what time. In the recycle bin you have the following options:

Restore object from recycle bin

Click on a process group, a process or a task in the recycle bin. Via <Restore this deleted object> the process will be moved back into the process explorer to the position where the process was last located before deletion (in the screenshot "Source = HR processes").

Delete object from recycle bin

Select one or more objects by checkbox and click <Delete from Recycle Bin>. SmartProcess asks if you really want to remove the objects. After confirming again, the objects are removed from the recycle bin.

If you have also removed objects from the recycle bin, you can no longer find them in the Processes menu. However, the objects are not permanently deleted.

When reporting process groups and processes, the checkbox <Show deleted items> can be activated and the information "Deleted" can be shown as column.

If this report is executed, the list will also show the deleted processes that have been removed from the recycle bin. By clicking on the affected process, it can be restored from the reporting.

For these actions in the recycle bin, editing rights are required for the respective process group, process or task.
