In addition to the modeling objects, which are explained in separate articles, there are several other modeling objects:

The Hyperlink object can be used to link to any target. This could be a section in SmartProcess (for example, a knowledge base article) or an external Web site.

In the properties, you can enter a name, a description, and the URL to the target location. When the user points the mouse at the hyperlink object, a small window opens in which the user can view and click the link.

Timer

The Timer object is used to indicate in the process model how long the processing of tasks should take at most. To do this, the Timer object is modeled between two events.

The example shows that a maximum of 7 days should pass between the intermediate event 'Production prepared' and the intermediate event 'Production completed'.

The properties of a timer are a name, which is displayed below the icon, and a description.

Person

The Person object can be used in a process model to enter internal or external contact persons for specific areas or products with their contact data.

After the object from the symbol area has been stored in the process model, the name of the person can be entered.

Since the object person is reusable and can be evaluated in the reporting menue, the magnifying glass can be used to access persons already created in other processes.

Das Personen-Objekt kann mit einer Aufgabe per Assoziations-Link verbunden werden.

With a click on the person object, further contact data for the person is visible to the user.

Group

The Group object can be used to represent a related block of tasks (partial processes), documents or other artifacts in the process model.

When you insert a group, it is in the foreground and may overlay other objects of the process model.
You can move the group into the background using the "To back" formatting function.
The Group is a display option.
The objects modeled in a Group do not technically belong together and are not automatically moved collectively in the process model, for example.
Text Annotation

With the Text Annotation object, any multilingual free text can be stored in the process model, e.g. to underline special instructions, descriptions or attention points during the execution of the process.

The generally applicable formatting options can be used to highlight the text annotation..

Rectangle

The Rectangle object offers the possibility to visually separate sections in process groups (e.g. in the process map).

A label can be inserted by double-clicking in the middle of the rectangle.

The generally applicable formatting options allow the text and rectangle to be moved and colored. If the 'Move object labels' option is activated in the Process designer, the label of the rectangle can also be moved to any position.

The header element always automatically contains the name of the process and can be inserted at any position of the process model or removed.

The text in the header element cannot be changed or deleted.

The header is located at the top of the process model for each newly created process.

The footer is a central storage possibility for artifacts and other additional information about the process.

If a process contains many different types of additional information, these can be listed in this central area in the footer without the actual process model losing its clarity.

The heading of the footer element can be changed centrally for all processes in the process management settings.

The footer is located at the bottom of the process model for each newly created process.
Folder Drawing Symbols

The Drawing Symbols folder is located in the symbol area of the Process designer. This folder contains a wide range of symbols that can be used in the process model.

Except for a name that can be inserted in the middle of the object by double-clicking, these objects do not have any extended properties.

The position, size and color of the text and the object can be adjusted according to the generally applicable formatting options.

If you want to use additional symbols for process modeling, you can add them to the symbol area as user-defined images.
